To protect and preserve the past and future history of the Fort Worth Police Department by collecting materials, photos, papers and artifacts related the men and women of the FWPD, making these items available for generations to come so that the proud history of the department may be seen.
The FWPHA accomplishes its mission in a variety of ways through donations, programs and events for the Fort Worth Police Department, area schools and organizations. The FWPHA researches documents and disseminates historical related information in the form of a quarterly newsletter, and strives to honor all men and women who have served in one of the most prestigious police departments in the world. Collections and displays are showcased throughout the HQ and Academy, preserving the frontier and modern history of the Fort Worth Police Department and including collections of materials relating to over a century of history.
